I already posted this on Facebook today, but it was one of the most challenging and encouraging things I've listened to -- especially in relation to being a Mom -- in a long time.

It's a talk by Rachel Barkey, who is a 37 year-old wife and mother of two young girls who is dying of cancer. She only has weeks to live. She gave this talk March 4.

It's about 55 minutes, but well worth listening to for me. I wanted to share it with anyone else who struggles with getting the work done each day, wishing you could balance it better with loving on those young kids.

Weldon's Winter Project

Weldon has been staying sane for the past six weeks by getting out of our house most days and doing a project for our friends in Minneapolis.  They have 10 kids, and until this weekend, no shower!

For anyone who is interested, here are all of Dorothy's blog entries on the "Bathroom Project" with LOTS of fun pictures of Weldon and the job he did.  You'll have to start at the bottom and go up to see it in chronological order.

Paul Sings

Paul has been singing, "Jesus Loves Me" for many months now, but I was never able to get him recorded.  He would always get shy and stop singing, or be distracted by the camera and want to hold it.  Once I recorded it, and it was PERFECT... no one interrupted, and he sang it all the way through... and then I realized it hadn't recorded... ugh.

SO... finally, the other night, Paul decided he likes an audience, and he must have sung it through 6 or more times.  I thought I'd try it again.  I love his little voice.  Hope you enjoy it!
